Calling All Burner Artists

After working for the man for over 30 years, Superstar Hippiechick wants to do something for the community.  The Burner Community.  After knowing so many creative people who make all these beautiful things, we decided we could best help our community by representing other like-minded individuals with our superior marketing and sales skills.  We are particularly interested in selling one-of-a-kind items (particularly clothing), and recycled or upcycled items.  This can be jewelry, clothing, accessories, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, multimedia, VJ's, DJ's, musicians of all kinds, large or small, inexpensive or over the top expensive.  We are interested in seeing your stuff and get it out there to market.

Superstar Hippiechick is all about promoting music and arts, particularly supporting and promoting the arts of Burning Man culture.  Although we're based in Los Angeles, it doesn't mean we're only open to locals.  So how can we help you?  Well, we will market your stuff here on the internet, wholesale it to exclusive boutiques and burner friendly stores in California, festival sales, advertise it wherever we can...whatever it takes to help us all succeed!

If you would like to talk about Superstar Hippiechick representing you and your art or craft, please contact us here, or call by telephone at (818)606-1769.  We'd love to talk to you about the possibilities!

Love,

Hippie Chick

Burner: Tales from the Playa

"Burner: Tales from the Playa" is a live, one-man show written and performed by Tony Edwards, who goes by the "playa name" of OhTony.

It is the true story of a eight-time "Burner" and chronicles the joy, heartbreak, amazement and life lessons learned at Burning Man, the annual festival which takes place on Black Rock Lake, a remote, dry lake bed in Northern Nevada, loving known to Burners as "the playa".

"Burner" is OhTony's deeply personal account of survival, lust and enlightenment into the beautiful insanity that is Burning Man.  Although he takes a wickedly funny aim at the people and culture of Burning Man, he saves the sharpest barbs for himself.  More than anything, "Burner: Tales from the Playa" is a loving tribute to the citizens of Black Rock City.

Returning after a two-year hiatus, this version of "Burner" includes new stories arising from OhTony's most recent visits to Burning Man...including a happy ending!

"Burner" is a multimedia production, featuring images, video and sound captured at Burning Man.

The event will be held at Mission Control, an artist collective and event space much loved by the Los Angeles Burner community (Thanks, Kitty & Derek!)

Seating is limited, as in, there are a limited number of places to sit, so feel free to bring your blankets, pillows, camp chairs and coolers.  Also, beverages will be available from the bar.  And. of course, playa attire is appreciated.

Suggested donation for "Burner" is $5 pre-paid through PayPal...

...or $8 at the door

See you there!  Dusty kisses!
